Carters Toyota FZJ80

Carters' LandCruiser in Pickwick, TN

Carter has engaged in numerous projects throughout his life. When he was sixteen he embarked in building an expedition vehicle using a FZJ80 Toyota Land Cruiser as the project vehicle. This vehicle took part in excursions all across the mid south including class 4 trails in the Harlan, KY Black Mountain Area. More recently he has been engaged in software development.

Cloud Runner

Cloud Runner was taken on as Carters midterm project during his time at Nashville Software School. He chose to program a game using the JavaScript and the Phaser Game Framework. His choice to build a game was partly influenced by his long time hobby of video games and interest in exploring a new framework they had not used in during his time in school. During the two weeks given for the project, Carters time was spent learning how to become a game developer. He was able to achieve his goal of programming a game during the time frame by keeping the gameplay simple yet engaging. Cloud Runner is a game where you play an alien who needs some help getting home. Hes new to this whole gravity thing and needs the players help to jump from cloud to cloud back in his spaceship. You may view the source code for the game on Carters GitHub profile.

Usage example of app.

While learning the Node.JS server environment, Carter decided to engage in building a simple app using only the Node.JS technology. The app takes in an input from the terminal command line and upon execution of the app, it converts the user provided values for file size into all of the most common file sizes and provides error handling if the app encounters an error. This app was extracted into individual modules and is available for cloning on Carters GitHub page.
